Rob Dejournett, PhD, CCNA
Rob started his journey into IT very young, playing with the original IBM PC & XT. After college he worked as a system administrator for a year before moving into science, getting his masters and PhD in biomedical science at the prestigious MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX. After several postdoctoral fellowships, he returned to IT, taking the Network Academy program at Durham Technical Community College and getting his CCNA. Now Rob is interning at Cisco Systems and taking server administration courses at Durham Tech, and is hopeful for a job in network engineering. He is planning to finish CCNP certification by the end of the year.

Thomas Jones, CCNA/CCDA/Security+
Thomas is a network engineer and social entrepreneur intrigued by the various sociopolitical effects of social media and Internet culture. He is an objectivist at heart and iconoclastic by nature, driven by challenge, curiosity, and aspirations of success.
Thomas has a Bachelors of Science in Information Science with a concentration in computer networking from UNC Chapel Hill. Thomas is currently working on his CCDA and plans to complete the CCNP and CCDP by Q2, 2011.
Thomas previously worked for Cisco Systems as both an Intern and Customer Support Engineer. He has also worked for UNC-Chapel Hill, the US Air Force/Department of Defense, and is currently a Senior Data Network Communications Analyst for Lockheed Martin Information Technology. He is the Owner and Co-Founder with Rob Dejournett here at the RTP Cisco Users Group.
His long term career goal is to pursue Internet (Cyber) Law to help contribute to issues such as privacy, copyright, free speech, network neutrality, and governmental information (“cyber”) warfare.
